Painting is an option but its too much hassle...

I've had a look on REALOEM.com

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=51&fg=95

and its item No 15 on their image...the problem is that there is a few part numbers for item 15. Mine obviously isn't the one with TV/DVD i've got the basic CD system. Could it be the one which says only suitable for cars with CCC? whats CCC?

I would check with Garry from Newport BMW but I am pretty sure you need part number 51456951040. Since you dont have Nav and your car is an 06 you probably have M-ASK and not CCC. I think it depends on your build date, if no NAV and Pre-Sept 05 then is M-ASK.

Im sure some others will chime in

I changed my wood trim to aluminum when I first got my car back in MArch 2007. The plastic piece where the AC/CD area doesn't come in aluminum.

I asked Garry and other dealers and they said its all plastic in every car. Sorry man.
