There is no official DAB retrofit for our car yet. But there is nothing stopping you from installing the DAB module and hoping your dealer will code it in for you.

There is a member who is attempting a DAB retrofit on our cars. He has done some 'unimaginable' retrofits in the past so I have hope that he will crack this one too. We'll just need to wait under BenAnd is successful.

Yes , that's right
, I just got the DAB-tuner today , first thing tomorrow I will order some of the part's needed for this "operation" ( LVDS cable /connector's /bracket etc. ) I could not see on the photo from the seller witch type of conection's it had , and in the BMW TIS/ETK there is NO help to find ,so when I got the part's, I will fit the DAB-tuner into the car and "hook" it up , and then try to get it coded , first when I have found out if it's possible , I will buy the antenna ( a littel expensiv) , and conclude the mode/re-fitting.
Be sure ,I will hold your nice people posted
, and perhaps make a "littel" DIY on the mod.

I've now got the DAB radio tuner unit , and found out witch part that would be neede to mount and connect the unit in the car , got the part's and did the fit yesterday , now we will try to code the option "DAB" SA654 to the car in a few days , to see if it is possible , the unit I got is from 08/2006 so theoretically according to BMW ,it should not be possible to code it into a 12/2003 build car ,one thing is theory anything reality , so wish mw luck

Now we have tryed to code the car for the DAB option , and it vent very well , it WORKS , so just fit the DAB tuner , hook it up to the LVDS , and connect power + ground , alter the SA code ( add cod SA654 to the SA list ) , make a "total coding" ( with the PROGMAN/SSS ), and "vupti" the DAB comes up in the audio men? . , now I just have to mount the right antenna , and all should be working as it do , when the car comes with it from the factory.
So don't hesitate to do this mode.
I will later make a littel write up on it , with part numbers and pictures
