Stock bulbs are 4300k right? Anyone know where I can pick up some 6000k d2s bulbs? Are all d2s bulbs universal?

got mine from john@motorcepts but he is local for me im sure every bmw mod shop in cali got em

Yes all D2S bulbs are universal. Phillips is the OEM brand and their the best bulb brand. I also replaced my to 6000 K

I just bought Philips D2S 6000 on ebay for $64 for the pair. Haven't had time to put them in yet though.

Do you have to remove the whole headlight housing to replace the bulbs? If so do you have to remove the bumper cover? (sorry newbie question)

if you have small hands you can probably do the swap without removing the headlight unit. However its not very hard to remove the headlight unit and its much easier to install with the headlight unit taken out.
