I change my mind with the first method and want to do the v-shape down the hood following the contours all the way to the bottom of the m-tech front instead, with only the top portion of my car; which includes leaving everything above the side windows up black, which is the roof and top surface of the trunk , and painting all the doors, M5 rear, mirrors and fenders all white.

Try the tape... If you like it, you can keep it. If not, take it off. Way better than paint in my opinion (because if that option)

I think it looks pretty good with the "V" look- very aggressive and it does follow the lines. I was thinking of going black on the roof but chickened out. My son's Jetta IV is silver with black roof, hood and front grill and it look great but too "young" for me...
