This is what I took out:
Attachment 63722
And this is what it looks like from underneath (two original OEM resonators, two mufflers and pipe to the tips - nothing else:
Attachment 63724
And look at all the room (weight gone) after removing the OEM mufflers:
Attachment 63725

My Ride: Rides: 1992 525i (Sold), 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab (Sold), Everett-Morrison Cobra - built 1998, 2005 Nissan Frontier Pick Up (daily driver)
Following up on this - have been away for a while. I forget if I posted a sound file...
The sound coming out of this exhaust set up is great. It is a deep growl and at 75-80 in 6th gear it is deeper still.
On acceleration it is pure muscle - no pussy BMW sound - this is a serious V8 sound.
The one thing we could not do is connect to the coil - anyone know where the heck it is??? We could not figure a way to tap into it without splicing into a wiring harness...
Check out the sound.
Let me know if anyone is interested - Jim can fabricate it on the spot in a morning or less.
Regards,
Santiago.
