Just wondering if anyone has ever thought about cutting off the stock mufflers and replace them with oval Borla mufflers... I am considering this because for 1: It's cheaper, 2: you can still use the stock exhaust tips and make it look more stock, and 3: I have never heard a Borla system on ANY vehicle that I did not like. Oh, and is this just a stupid question? I really dont see why this couldnt be done but, maybe there are some experts out there that would like to school me. Any comments or references to threads that I have not found will be greatly appreciated!

Anything is possible as long as it fits.

+1 there is no problem welding on a universal muffler as long as it fits.
