My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.
Contis Sport conatct 3 get my vote out of the pair, the Michelins are an old but still good design but not the best tyre anymore like when they came out. If it was my car though I'd be putting on Goodyear eagle F1 assymetrics, they are cheaper than the other two and win more tyre tests than the other two.

I agree, for st use only, get the one that wears the most, costs the least and has the most comfort (noise, ride, ete.) people get all bent out of shape in getting the best summer hipo tire when all they do is drive public streets, and hit the curves on occasion. Youll never get to the limit where the best ones differentiate themselves.

I have PS2's on my 911 and I have to say they are not as good a tire as the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's that they replaced. Turn in was sharper and grip was noticeably higher on the Pirelli tires. The PS2 just doesn't have the same levels of grip. Corners that would not trouble the Pirellis do trouble the PS2s which break away sooner and less predictably. They are a good tire, but I believe they are a little over-rated. On a car like the E60 which doesn't exit corners as quickly as my 997 the issues above will be less apparent. FWIW the PS2's on my 997 are in N1 spec which is unique to Porsche. The PS2's were also cheaper than a new set of Rosso's. My dealer could only get hold of PS2s when my Pirelli P-Zeros needed replacement.
