Not getting any replies from the bluetooth and cell phone forum, so I thought I would try the accessories ans mods forum.

My early E60 will be at the dealer's tomorrow to havie the software mod'ed to recognize the CPT9000 eject box.

From anyone who has intalled an eject box in an early E60, how much should I expect to pay for the software mod that allows the TCU and idrive to recognize the CPT9000 eject box?

Thank you,
Bill

As it ended up, the dealer had my car for a month trying to make the BTUM work.. I had a free loaner, so I really didn't care. They replaced the instrument cluster and the TCU while trying reprogram the car to recognize the CPT9000/BTUM. With the new TCU installed, I was told that I would still need the CPT9000 eject box, frame and the BTUM for bluetooth, but I didn't. They were in the car when I picked it up, but I noticed that the BTUM LED was not on, indicating it was not powered. I removed the BTUM and still had bluetooth.
I ending up paying $111 dollars for everything after returning the unnecessary CPT9000 adapter and BTUM.
Since the car was hooked up to a battery charger so much during the ordeal, they killed a battery monitor of some sort. The monitor and the battery were also replaced at no charge. All and all the benefits far out weighed the minor inconvenience. I think others have had the same experience.

Where did you get your TCU? How much was it?

Dealer put in in under warranty, since the attempted config upgrade to recognize the CPT9000 and BTUM toasted my old TCU. My total cost for blue tooth capability was $111, the cost of the attempted software config upgrade.
