Looking for any thoughts, opinions, or anyone who has done any mod like this.

For the E60 LCI AHL headlights, the inner projector only comes on when making a turn at slow speeds; also it uses a 55 watt halogen bulb.

Has anyone been able to code/tried to make the Cornering lights to always stay on, once the headlights are on, to give a quad projector headlight look?

A 55 Watt halogen bulb will generate alot of heat, so I was thinking to swap that bulb in with a LED bulb to reduce the heat being generated inside the headlight housing.

You can code it to be used as DRL but then it will just always be on (like early pre-lci cars have). You will have to run through the LM module coding to see if there is an option for it but I doubt it. I tried to have fog lights always on with headlights but there was no option for that in the LM2

Surely doing this will just be like driving around with your high beam on all the time?

When they are being used as cornering lights, the brightness is reduced dramatically by the LM. Is that what you mean? Have them on but reduced brightness?

No, the inner lights on the LCI don’t shine forward. They are cornering lights that turn on when you turn on a turn signal, turn the steering wheel a significant amount, or are in reverse. They just light up things to the side. I don’t see a point in it, but to each their own. Put your car in reverse sometime and you’ll get an idea of what the light output difference would be.
