Hey guys, I'm new here and a had a few questions that I couldn't find in the FAQ..I have a 2004 525i. No nav, no HID's. I was wondering if I purchase the navigation unit from ebay, do I have to do any mods to the computer? Also, same thing with the HID's with the adaptive lens. If I purchase the actual unit, any other cpu mods that have to ben done? I appreciate the help guys, love the forums, and all the cars. Hopefully I'll have mine on here very soon with more than a few mods. Take care guys...

Its a lot of work for the BMW Nav retrofit. I know that a lot of the UK guys have done it. And yes, you'll need programming.

Its not just a simple plug and play. Its a big wiring mess. Good luck man. =)

HID is also tough too. You will need a new cable set, and re-program the car also.

wouldn't call the nav install a wiring or install mess, but I would call it a programming mess. BTDT.
