I have DWS and they are NOT a performance tire. They are great tires - quiet, handle very well, cost is acceptable. But if you are expecting to take tight corners at indecent speeds, look elsewhere.

I just ordered these tires from tire rack. 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 I'll let you know how they will hold up.

I got these last winter in 285/30/19 and 245/30/19-not the skinniest tires by any means and yet still were AWESOME in snow. I have rear wheel drive too, no x drive and snow was no problem at all. I had tried michelin A/s and goodyear eagle F1 a/s and dws was wayyy better.

As far as performance-the sidewalls are softer but I dont drive hard in cornering etc-so its a non-issue for me. Unless you track the car you will not really be effected by this. The nice thing about them is they are super light-as light as the mich pilot sports-24 pounds for the 245s and 26 for the 285. Most other all season or even summer tires are 30 pounds and up. So 6 or 7 pounds of outside rotating mass lost is great for gas milage and acceleration-to me a good trade off for the softer side walls

I'm at the shop while my car is getting a set of DWS's mounted. I'm moving from Dunlop SP Sport 01 runflats. From what I hear the comfort difference will be like night and day. Not that there's anything wrong with the Dunlops, just not for the area I live in...too many bad roads and the Dunlops are too stiff.

I have had conti DWS on my car for the last two months, ran up to just over a 1000 miles and I don't like the tread noise, sounds like a snow tire to me once they get around 45-55 mph, a lot of tread hum noise. If you look hard enough for the reviews on tire rack you'll see mention of the tread noise, just be prepared for that if you buy the DWS. I talked to the dealer and he said he would take them back and swap out for a different set. My four year old OEM conti touring contacts with 39k miles were quieter! Hope you have better luck than I did.

Continentals are the best tires I have ever had,

The DWS is all season and the DW's are summer.

The DWS are quiet but the DW's are super quiet. Love them, will buy again and again all the time

Love them. No issues. They performed great in the snow the other day -- ~4". I am thinking about buying a set for my wife's X5.
