Considering H&R springs
Well, I'm considering dropping the car a bit with H&R springs. I also have an xi, and the car sits very high. Anyone have any experience with this type of mod? Will the ride be too stiff or uncomfortable in anyway? Is it worth it? Thanks in advance.
welcome dan
you desperately need springs an spacers, your cars on stilts. i heard the springs aren't as stiff as you would think. i have springs sitting in the garage still waiting to pop them in when i get a chance

lol I know, especially the back, it looks like it's on a step ladder. I put spacers in the rear wheels not too long ago, and it looks great though.

It all depends how good the roads are in your area. I'm running them with stock shocks on my 525xi and they work really well for me. When I have to drive on crap roads the ride is on the bouncy side. If the majority of the roads are goods I say go for it, if roads are shit I would pass.
The other option is coils but the only ones that will work on an XI are KW V3's. They are expensive and noisy but the ride is excellent. Personally I wouldn't be able to stand the clanking sound.

I have H&R springs on my Xi and I like it, although not a lot of members wont agree. It is a bit bouncy but nothing I can't live with.
OT - I was just watching your youtube link, isn't that on 287N? I saw my exit to go home.
