considering downsizing to 18' or 19's

Living in NYC and with a RWD E60, I would get both a winter and a summer set. 19 inch with summer performance tires and 18 inchers with dedicated snows for winter. That's been my setup for many years. All seasons are not that effective in snow with RWD. Better to get dedicated snows.

+1000 - Yeah, my wife may be less than agreeable to that "arrangement", I don't know why. I agree with Scott though, my wife is pretty cool.
