Keep working on it yourself, it is not worth taking it to the dealer. I think I know what the problem is..... you are probably trying to be a little too gentle. You have too be a little aggressive, I know it seems wierd pounding that lower trim with a wood block and a hammer but I beat the shit outta mine to seat it and it didn't hurt anything and thats kinda what it takes. taking th rear seal off is easy... just grab the end where it meets the lower seal and rip it outta there, it won't hurt anything. seriously... they are just rubber plugs that won't tear or anything. hit the clips with a flathead screwdriver and a hammer and pull the sucker off and when you put the new ones on, just line it up and slap it on making sure all the clips snap into place. after that just massage the seals back in place. this doesn't take any real skill just work the seal until it seats itself. really this job is easy it just takes time and a little patience. really I think getting that seal by the side mirrors on the upper trim that you already did was the hardest part! so you should be good to go!! good luck!!

Looks good in the interior, would be interesting to see in place of the external chrome trim. It would be quite a different look.

That is really interesting.
If anyone out there is doing this to the door trim, I would be willing to pay to have it done.....

Regards
