Comfort seat retrofit; switches not working
Hi there, I just switched my E61 530 from the base seats (2007; memory + heated) with the comfort seats (2006; memory+heated). Through all my reading these should be plug and play (both harnesses had the same yellow plug with a separate smaller black one).
The drivers seat does all the way back and tilts all the way back everytime the key is put on/car is unlocked but other than that 0 functions on the switch for drivers & passengers work. Drivers seat heating does work; but I have not double checked the passenger. No error codes on dash or scanner. Also coded the VO (S459 to S456).
However I can use my schwaben scan tool and move the seat around; every function works for both sides. So the wiring must be right somehow?? Any ideas?

On further inspection on the chassis side I have 4 wires at the black plug going to the module (power & ground plus the 2 can wires) and the yellow connector has 4 wires (2 to seat belt and 2 to seatbelt tensionner). But the Seat side of that connector has 3 extra wires which all go to the seat switch (guessing power/ground and signal).
Should these not be connected to the seat module like my previous seat was? some reading shows people connect these wires to the center console switch but why? My old seats were full power and memory and functioned from the can bus so is there an output on the seat module I can connect it to?
