That's bullshit. BMW can't void your warranty over installing a cold air intake. I've brought my car to the dealer several times when I still had my AFE CAI on and they never bothered me about the warranty at all. If they're going to void it they must prove it first that the CAI is harmful or is damaging your engine.

Where's your BMW dealer located? and what brand CAI do you have installed?

BMW cannot do that just because you have a CAI installed. They must prove that your CAI caused a specific issue with the vehicle before refusing warranty service. Bring them a copy of the magnusson moss warranty act.

Which dealer did you visit? So members here can be aware of it if they go for service.

Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo, CA. My car was in for transmission issue and my SA told me the BMW guy(who works for BMW, not dealer) decide not to do anything to my car after he realize i got a AFE CAI installed. And this guy want to report to BMW and void my warranty......

Sounds like your service advisor is having a bad day, or being a douche bag. The " BMW Guy" doesnt come out until he is called for a major issue. The " BMW Guy" is not based out every local BMW dealership. To my knowledge, its up to the service advisor, or the service manager to make the call to warranty the problem or not. If I am wrong, someone please correct me. Try to bring your car to Steven's Creek BMW and see Claude. He is the one that always help me out with my 7 series.
