Cold Air Intake
The ECU will adapt to the increased air flow from an intake swap but not in a way that reduces the improved power gains. Rather, the ECU can adjust the air:fuel ratios to account for the increased air flow.
ok. Forget CAI. For the scoop + filter setup, you are basically replacing the OEM filter with BMC/K&N filter. The OEM intake stays. And the scoop is installed right behind the driver side front grill. Very easy to do and no remapping required. Hope this helps.
Well from personal experiance,
I have the Dinan CAI, and Stages 1,2 and 3 remaps.
I like the mod.
I will have the RPI exuast and the Scoops installed soon.
I'll post more when I have those in.
Hope this helps.

DO NOT get the AFE intake...its really called a HOT AIR INTAKE. I know someone said the "ecu will adapt" but that is BS. The ECU doesn't need to adapt to anything. We have dyno tested the AFE intake countless times and it loses HP/TQ all over the power band. The BEST product for your car is the RPI scoop. Here is the link to my website

Thanks, that's helpful, but how do you "drop" the box? I noticed in those pics is tilted...i guess that's what the drop means, but how do you do it?
