I think I must have dropped about $5 worth of coins inside the door with the E39.

I gotta say, a coin 'spot' would really be nice. I've been scoping out the ashtray bin for that purpose since I don't smoke (and won't let anyone do it in my car!).

Was also thinking of designing a replacement for that bin/tray to put in the spot but just for coins instead. Anyone think that idea would work?

jdn, so did you ask for $5 more when you trade-in/sell your car ?
i've seen some taxi drivers put a piece of non-slip rubber mat (looks like back side of a mouse pad) on the dashboard. they use a acrylic coin holder to hold all the coin and just leave that on the mat. obviously it works but we'll all look like a cab driver :'(.

What's interesting is that in that entire RF thread, there is not a single picture of the coin holder.
That's 'cause nobody can figure out how to post pics using that pos software they use over there!

Hi, Rudy. Are you taking a sabbatical from regular posting?

Hi JDN,

I'm still here but need to lurk a bit more. I'm simply swamped with work right now...

Thanks for noticing!

I've been missing your notes. I'm sure I speak for many, but can't argue with your priorities. Nothing like a good work ethic to keep a fellow in the Bimmer of his choice.
