Anyone know where to get a coinholder for US coins? Right now Ive been putting my coins in that little area with the felt on the driver's side compartment but they're always sliding around.

Seriously: There is no coinholder... not even in the accessories brochure...

I'll have to search over on Roadfly, but I remember a thread where someone had the part number for a coin holder in place of the ashtray. But it has been quite a while, don't know if I'll be able to find it. I have heard of it though...

here it is, but I've never checked it out with the dealer... It's not a pure coin holder, just replaces the ashtray and is lined so coins don't rattle around.

That's actually how all bimmers are coming out of the factory if the "smoking package" is not added to the option list. But most dealers worldwide add this automatically, since it's free. So if somebody wants to buy an E60 or any other bimmer and doesn't smoke but is looking for a place to store coins, make your dealer order it this way...

I had the choice while ordering the car but didn't want to loose the cigarette lighter. If you don't choose the smoke package the cigarette lighter hole is covered with a plastic thingie that looks cheap..
