Hey guys, as you know i had a rubbing issue, i have now solved the problem finally, i went ahead and put smaller tires as i was told which fixed it, the only problem now is that the car sits to high... i was gonna see if there was a good package to buy as far as springs and shocks< i came upon coilovers by NEX, does anyone know anything or heard anything about it???? i dont wanna go crazy and spend 1500+ on the package....
Can anyone give me advise??
Thanks

BTW- i dont have the sport package..

does nex even make coils for the e60?

No street comfort and Variant 1 are two different coilover sets. Street comfort is adjustable for both height and rebound. Variant 1 is not offered for the BMW E60 and it is only height adjustable.

I recently bought KW V2's but have not had the time to put them on yet.

Joe C, if you're interested once I get my coils put on, I will let you know so we can meet up and you can test them out.
yeah that would be great let me know and ill take a look at them..

well honestly man you bought a bmw. If you cant afford to do upgrades correctly (meaning based on performance and not how cheap) then you are better off not touching your car to begin with

Ive had many coil systems. KW and Tanabe are my fav based on lack of issues and ride quality.

for the most part i agree you get what you pay for but in some cases when a new company has a new product they must do something to get people to try it. sell it at a lower price, get some buyers and if the review is good they get their name out.

im not saying i know anything about coilovers but if i was buying them i would want to talk with someone who has owned them or drive a car with it to see what i was getting.

Yes thats a good point. The other thing that makes me skeptical is brand worth perception.

I paid nearly $2000 for KW because I believe that they are worth it. KW backs up this worth by not whoring their prices and by giving their products a lifetime warranty. On top of that they offer outstanding technology and unmatched ride adjustment and quality.

NEX could very well be a great coil system for all I know. But being a new company all they have is perceived worth until people use their coils and recommend them. Maybe if they had some reviews for the e60 showing what an outstanding value they are, they wouldn't need to discount their system as it would already be lower than many other competing coil systems.
