thanks bro. do you know the part # for the LCM that i need? also where is a good place to have the wiring done? I personally never had any issues with umnitza, in fact Matt always treated me as a value customer. I am planning on having umnitza do the wiring but i think the person - bluecougar- just had the headlights swapped, she is using Bruce V6 cable for her rear lights.

I am almost certain that she had her car coded as well, as only the tailights can be updated easily using Bruce's cable. The part number I don't have it handy, but any of the new light modules you buy for E60 will work.
Go up on eBay and search for E60 light module. I was doing research earlier this afternoon and saw them up there.

Oh, you mean they can do the wiring part, and just need someone to do the coding?
Well the hardwire part doesn't look that difficult anyhow. In any case, it's a research in progress, and I'll let you know soon.

I'm in if this doesn't void warranty on the car! Perhaps if you can list coded functions that doesn't effect warranty?
Cheers and many thanks for posting your services....

I can't imagine these functions would null warranty. As far as I understand, the dealer's hardware cannot read/code these functions anyhow.
I would say not to worry. Many people have done codings, and I have not once heard of any issue being raised by the dealership.
