I am still evaluating mine, alex123. I have two tears in 6700 miles, both in the bumper and pretty close together, but separate incidents. One barely got through the paint and the other did not. Everything else is still pristine up front. I will be testing again on Friday. Can't help you in the Philly area, but in Dallas I paid $600. If it continues to work, you could bounce that cost off a paint job at about 50k for the hood and front bumper. Waxing is recommended. I keep RejeX on mine.

Mine is 3M brand. Starting to notice it "yellowing" on my white car. Had a stone or something go through and chip the pint right between the kidney's. For now, I still think it is better than the alternative.

I just installed the X-pel clear protective light shields to the driving and fog lights. Nice thick stuff! worth the $70+ for both (in lieu of replacing a damaged light!). It did not go on as easily as I thought...had to really work it. Not a perfect self-install...but definitely worth it. I started to see small rock dings in the glass and thought I'd better get them fast! I highly recommend the lights...though I'm still hesitant to put the shield on the paint.

Check out my detailed installation pics and product review here<---.

I had covered front and rear bumpers, hood, rocker panels, front lights, fog lights, door edges, door cups, mirrors and custom splash guards (front & rear).

I made an 850 mile dash across the Interstates and biways yesterday and never worried a bit about dings from road debris other than to look out for the alligators. I made a cursory inspection when I arrived and it looks like all is well up front. Time will tell whether the bra will continue to protect and look nice, but so far, so good.

Hi, Andy. I am really surprised that you can't. My last Bimmer got chipped pretty good and the son is thinking about repainting the hood.
