Clear Front Corners?
#1
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this board, and being a former E46 owner one of my first "mods" was clear front corners. Having looked at the E60, I am not sure if it is possible to make the front corners clear. The entire headlight looks to be one physical unit, but I may be wrong (?)
I can clearly see that the Euro version of the E60 has clear front corners... can anyone shed some light on this topic? I really hate amber lol
Thanks!

Does the yellow part light up along with the angel eyes? Is it possible to have the angel eyes on without having anything else on?
Excuse my ignorance, I have not bought the E60 yet, I'm currently shopping for one, so please fill me in...

The entire headlight is one physical unit so replacing them w/ Euro version will be the way.

Yes, I think most people refer it as the eyebrow, by default, I think, the angel eyes halo ring around the high/low beam reflectors are part of the parking light but maybe w/ some wiring mod you should be able to make them on by itself.

It's true that the angel eyes are illuminated with the parking lights (not the DRLs) -- I'm not sure what wiring mods are possible...

I don't think he's referring to the eyebrow, I think he's referring to the amber side marker light that is required in the USA (and is clear on cars in other countries...)

When the new E60 LCI comes out, they are ditching the amber reflectors in the headlight assembly. In order to meet USA requirements, BMW instead will place small amber reflectors on the front edge of the tire wells. (Similar to the new 335i coupe)
My question therefore is..... will the new E60 LCI headlights fit an older model E60? If so, then one could purchase the necessary parts domestically instead of having to order from Europe.
