Well, I finally "pulled off" the damaged part of the clear bra (between the kidneys).
What I thought was dirt in the imperfection turns out to be a "CHIP" in the paint!

I cut away the damaged part of the clear bra but now need to repair the chip.

Question is... Am I any better off by having the clear bra? Maybe I should have saved the $500 and put it aside for chip repair?

I called the dealer and they said that there is no warranty for stone chips.

Hmmmm.

That's a big chip....I have the clear bra also and I wondered the same thing...maybe I should just have just saved the money for chip repair.

You must have been hit with a something pretty good size/weight to do that damage. I guess there's a limit as to what a clear bra will protect from.

Did the clear bra get a hole it in it also?

When my bra got clipped, it did not get to the paint. The initial adhesive is still there over the paint.

Jimbo- yes, had a hole through the clear stuff. I thought the dark stuff was dirt in the hole, turned out to be a chip.
