ah okay, not only does it look better but once you've used it with all the shortcut buttons you really don't feel like going back to using your old controller I can see why most people upgrade the iDrive controller. I know for me it's still up in the air if I want to upgrade controller or not.

Hello all, I read all pages, but I can't seem to find the part number for the new cic idrive knob frame... Can anyone help me with the part no? Sorry if it was mentioned, but honestly, I could not find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I paid £600 for the screen, computer and controller, and around 2500NOK (around $420) for the other parts (cables and trim). The center console trim itself was 1250NOK ($210).

Ok so I FINALLY finished reading this whole post from start to finish but I still have a simple question. If you do the combox retro fit can you just plug your iPhone/iPod up vis USB and it show up on the display or are you still stuck with the option of going with a dension?

I believe it's CIC + Combox + 6FL or 6NR = iPhone/iPod display and control via idrive.
