finally managed to cut a hole in old console for cic controller was limited on tools so only used what is on the first picture. don't ask how I did it use your imagination

You didnt need to do that, I fitted a CIC controller and it turns out the pre-lci shifter bezel will fit an LCI trim panel.

 

it wasn't about gear knob gaiter I could not find console trim in same colour for long time and did not want to buy a new one. console trim cut is a bit risky but if you confident and go slowly you will get good result

 

Going for the CIC retrofit for my 2008 528i with Patryk. I hope all will go smooth!

Awesome thread, I've read all pages however I couldn't find or missed info abot screen only swapping...
I bought hd screen but for F10 with f10 bezel of course now I'm thinking to replace only screens and here is my question... Anybody did this already?

Found the answer myself...
I didn't check the size, F10 screen is 10,2" since E60 8,8" so swap isn't possible.
