I'm guessing one would also need the latest update to the old ccc unit in order for this to work. I had a complete vehicle update done in November at BMW HQ in Munich. Took 18 hours but they did not charge me as my combox needed replacing and they needed to update anyway .
Have now done the retrofit and can confirm that you only connect 4 wires to the new connector and the rest you are not using anymore

I did change to the new ac control on my pre-lci and had no problems and no coding
It worked right out of the box.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but did you do anything with wires or did you just re-connected from the old ac? There is a diy on how to splash some wires in this threat which I followed, but have no idea if that is your problem.

Good luck!

Not a clue from me.. I am assuming guy can code it back to defaults and get it close enough to work for the basics.

There's some wiring that has to be done it seems like

Did you wire it correctly first?

Take a look at this first:

I haven't done it, so I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like you've done your homework.. (I'm still using the old pre-LCI climate control)

I'd try saving current psw file first, then setting it back to defaults using process ecu and see what happens. Sorry, that's all I got!
