Hi Guys!
I am in the progress of retrofitting the CIC system on my e60 that now has CCC professional. I am taking it slowly and gathering the parts one by one. In the mean while, I wanted to install the new idrive controller to control my CCC (I found the thread, and know it can be done). But I just saw, that I received the wrong CIC idrive controller (ebay). It seams to be from the new 5 series (F10 - part no 9206444). Do you guys think I could make this idrive controller work on my CCC and future CIC system?
Any info si greatly appreciated !

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
I will be doing the same soon, like maybe in the next month when I return vacation. I also have a cic controller that is not 5 series but rather from an old X5. From what I've been told it will work but it has to be coded in or the software updated. A friend that knows how will help me so if I get it done I'll let you know. Otherwise if you do please post backup here.

The X5 CIC idrive controller will work without any problems for your install (it has the same plug as the e60 does). The problem is that the newer "F" generation cars have a slightly different idrive controller with a different plug (2 more pins/wires on the connector).

Good to know it appears to plug in correctly with the three pins. Controller is from an E70
