the actual chrome trunk lid or the AMG?...I like the AMG, just don't think that chrome trim would look good on an e60, IMHO...

I wouldn't do such tuning .. or do you think you are a better designer? Maybe you should offer your services to BMW But of course it is always up to your taste.

I tend think of "tuning" as engine mods. This is more cosmetic mods. But in terms of your question " or do you think you are a better designer? Maybe you sould offer your services to BMW"....by that statement it would many members think they are better designer's and should offer their services to BMW. Just stroll thru the DIY and parts/mods section. The point of mod'n is too add our personal taste...in the end all we can do is state our opinions....

Im in disagreement with the majority here. I bought the trunk liner and I think it looks great. It adds a lot of style to the rear of the car, seperates the lines very nicely in the trunk and also adds a touch of regality to an otherwise bland 545i rear.

Here's the problem though....

The trunk liner strip is about 12mm wide at it's end and really leaves very little space between it and the actual decal of the car. So the whole thing looks kinda crammed. For this reason and this reason only, I have yet to install it.

My plan is to debadge the 545i, change to a 555i [with a red 5 in the middle of the three], and then chrome trim below with some change in the positioning of the badge...

NOW -- I have to find the three 5's and a red one to make it hop...but that's the reality of the situation so I hope it helps fellow buyers....
