I used to use this in my M3 and 318i and it would have the tendency to dirty the oil more than usual. It was suppose to help clean the intake valves of carbon deposits. It was recommended back in the mid 80's by BMW after the recall for valve deposits. I think they solved that problem.

Stopped by the local Napa and picked up the Chevron - TECHRON Concentrate Fuel System Cleaner, but it says to refuel with up to 12gallons of gas. Should I not fill the tank all the way? I thought I read that E60 tanks hold 18.5gallons. Should I just add 10 gallons of fuel with this additive?
Also, what's the difference between the regular Techron, the concentrate, and the proguard?

I got a 2006 and i believe i have a 15 gallon tank. I was at my local dealer a few months ago and the dealer stop me fro buying this cleaner, he told me i was under warranty and just drive the car???
