Hello,
I'm looking into changing the orange lights in the car. Particularly the ones on the console, door window buttons, and climate control. Are these LED or regular filament bulbs? Has anybody done this?
Thanks!

They are all LEDs. We've contemplated this before, but decided that it was too much work, and probably will cost more than what most people would be willing to pay anyway.
If my memory serves me correctly, there's close to 50 SMDs to replace.

I'm thinking of changing them to blue or light blue or something...Kind of worried that it might look too much like the newer blu-ray or LCD monitors

Blue is good but not light blue. It should be the blue similar to the ventilated seats blue. Bright white gets IN YOUR FACE! It gets real annoying at night LOL. I am too lazy to change them. I'd rather have orange that regular 4300K white which looks an off white yellowish color. I am just leaving it as is.

A word of caution for people that do attempt to do this. If you change it to blue, you might run the risk of them being hard to see at night. Obviously this depends on the shade, but this is why companies don't usually use blue lighting for interior.
And yes, it uses the same type of SMDs.

Don't do it.. definitely not recommended. Its too bright. I had to put in some shade / something to block out the light since it was so bright. Keep it the way it is. I know Blue is on Honda's and RED is on VW's/Audi's.

I would try blue first at least for the window and door controls to see how that goes. Most home entertainment equipment has blue LEDs so that you can watch movies in the dark and the blue light won't distract you. However, it's bright enough for you to know where the controls are to make changes. I don't think that would be too bright since the human eye is less sensitive to blue than red or orange. The human eye peaks sensitivity to green which is why freeway signs are green.
