I hope so..because their site says
The ultimate iPod car connector kit for BMWs with fiber optic system (2002+ 7, 2004+ 5/6 series). This kit is not yet available, and release is expected for Q2/2005
You may express your interest by clicking on the Add to Wait List link and supplying your email address. We will notify you on development plans as they become available.

Please forgive my ignorance, but why is this $400 part any better than the $77 audio input cable I bought from BMW? Also wouldn't this product require updating the software as well? As hard as it was to get BMW to install their own cable, it would seem even harder to get them to install an aftermarket cable.

The specs on the icelink cable and cradle for the E60 have not been released yet. The current model makes your ipod function like a CD changer. You can control track/playlists from your steering wheel and headunit as well as see text on your nav/cd display. Your ipod can also be charged with the cradle. Another neat feature they are working on is having album art displayed on the nav unit.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with for the 5 series.

Yep, I think this is better than the ipodyourbmw stuff. Looks like we'll have more options. I'm getting one as soon as it's out!
