you can keep the middle part of the splitter CF, and paint the rest titanium gray... that should look very subtle.

I think the CF looks nice!
Yup, keep it carbon fiber, or trade with someone that has a painted one. That would be a waste of the precious carbon fiber if you were to paint over it.
