My Ride: 2008 BMW E60 550i. Air scoops, black grille, M5 rear lip spoiler, AFE CIA stage 2, AFE throttle body spacer, RPI axel back GT exhaust, full replaced sound system including alpine amp, JL audio 12W3v3 sub, focal component speakers
Default CF hood and trunk for 08 550i

Thinking about getting a new carbon fiber hood and truck for me 550i. Not a huge fan of the look but I want all the help I can get to make this car fast. Any have the CF hood or trunk and think the weight reduction aspect is worth it? Or is it pretty much just a look.

most of the weight saving will be in the trunk if you choose to change it. the hood may not be as much of a difference as the stock hood is aluminum.

Thanks guys. Already have sprint booster as well as a lot of other mods. Just addicted and want to keep modding. I really want to get rims and tires but have a warranty in the stock rims and tires..... So carbon fiber hood and trunk, slotted and drilled brake rotors, or Hamann front lip carbon fiber. Not sure which one I'm going to do next.

Will be installing my H&R sport springs, caliper covers from MGP, black powder coated lower grill and black and white roundels on hood, trunk, and wheels.

Any other suggestions?

Why caliper covers, just paint your calipers or get an M5 set?

Also you know drilled and slotted rotors is just for looks right? Just asking, since I will be getting a drilled set soon but just want to make sure you are informed.

Im also looking into drilled/slotted rotors. Where are you getting yours from?
Wasnt there a sponsor on here that was selling sets for around $600??
