[quote name='Lomag' date='Nov 25 2004, 09:05 AM']Errr I think I got it and that means I ordered the wrong part. Doh! Will call dealer Friday to change. Thanks for the info!?

OK, I was curious myself -- so what is the difference? I thought there was only one Anthracite color?

OK, never mind -- now I figured it out too. It was a doh

P.S. for those who find themselves in the same state of mind when reading the info at first ( ) the colors after the "/" refer to the dash interior color; just like the picture shows it -- good job Hobi, we just can't RTFN properly

The actual dashboard base colour comes in black or grey. If your general interior colour is grey, then the dashboard base colour will be a darkish grey.

Any other colour interior will mean you have a black dasboard base colour.

Hope that explains it

FYI: look at the top part of dashboard that covers your instrument cluster - that's the base colour.

Now, I would like to hear from people who have actually installed this themselves to see how difficult it really is (don't want any rattles after the install ). Or is it just better to have the dealer do it -- what would that cost?

Anyone have any input? Thanks.

Dealer fit: they'll probably charge you a couple of hours of labour.

FYI for those challenged like RH530 and myself see my pic below. The difference is actually quite clear and I had never realized there even was a difference before.

In fact I was hunting for the dark poplar wood trim parts no. for weeks as there is an error about this part in the Dutch ETK. Both BMW Holland and my dealer couldn't provide the right parts no. so we took it out of a stock car.

So Dark Poplar and CCC is indeed: 51.45.6.951.037

BTW it look stunning in my 545i Touring
