John: Please turn off your caps lock key so you aren't shouting at us like you are now. Alohalc: You might try and price the difference if you order the changer from Circle BMW and have your dealer put it in. I'm not sure of the savings because assuming you can get the changer for less, shipping costs will add a bit. Maybe if you have it put on a slow boat, it would be worth it. As I understand things, the reason there's no aftermarket availability yet is that BMW isn't letting out the necessary info on the MOST interface. You can do some amazing things on a 3-series because the interface is published but not so for us E60 drivers...yet.

Sam, I think that the interface is published because it's a new common data bus standard used by various car manufacturers (amongst them are BMW, Mercedes, AUDI, Porsche,...) and the protocol is very well documented. The problem however lies with the manufacturer which has to approve your MOST bus device before you are allowed to use it.
