I believe that tint all-around is not allowed in NJ, only back doors and rear window.
You're right. Even the back windows and rear window must have tint that allows the police to see through. If not mistaken 35% will pass but not 20%. Limos are exempted and can go up to 20% but not in the front windows.

THANKS guys for all the comments.

I finally got 35% dyed-charcoal tinted yest.. Shop looked cheesy, but very professional job.. I thought I would see bubbles? Even today I see 0 bubbles. He said with in 5-6 days of drying there should be no bubbles or anything.. but i cant see any yet !!HIGHY RECOMMENDED!!! It was a one looong drive.. damn 5hours total (Drive+tinttime).

I hope it passes inspection.. its not anytime near anyways.. didnt know 35% is a big deal?

It will not pass with any tint in the front windows. NJ has been very strict about that.

Hi,

I am thinking of getting 35% Charcoal dyed tint all-around for my 2006 525i Silver Grey. They were quoting $180+ .. I thought they used to be do it for $150.
Anyone have any contacts over there?

I live in NJ, but couldnt find any good tint places around, so decided to drive 40+ miles to CARPRETTY and get it done there. Thanks!
Hey,

I personally would "NOT go with the dyed tint", due to it fading and turning purple after time. I'm getting 35% Madico "Charcool" non-metal tint all around. NOT the Charcoal! And the tint is Computer CUT.

Ask your installer or shop if they have the Madico Char"cool" Tint...

I'm a proud owner of a Mercedes Benz, I only use high quality products
