Finally got the grills installed last weekend and finished putting on the laminates. I have heard the laminates will come off over time and have to be replaced, but for now, I think it looks pretty sweet. Also, since the laminate set came with extras, I could replace them at least one more time without spending any more money. If I still like the look in a year, maybe I'll just get the real CF roundels. I'd like to do some interior stuff next, like painting the trim, doing a short shift kit, maybe a pedal kit or something like that.

I also finally got the summer wheels back on. It's nice to get the 18s back, but the ride quality of the non-runflat winter tires was better. (and yes, that is snow on the ground despite it being the end of March).

Very nice, I'm digging the CF on both the roundel and the grilles.

Thanks. Those are a total Ebay special: $24 for the grills with $20 for shipping = $44 total. Came from Singapore. That's cheaper than ANY of the others I have found on Ebay (even the flat black plastic ones).

hey, if you wanna realisticly rate your cf look grills, out of 100 percent.
How close is it in resemblence to the real cf grills?
Thanks.

tough question. I have never seen the real CF grills in person, so I don't know. From the pictures of them that I have seen, I would say that from 3-5 feet away, they look pretty similar, but up close you can obviously tell that mine are painted plastic (same thing with my license plate frame).

My overall thought was to put these on, check them out, see how I like the look, and then, assuming it looks good, slowly replace them with the real deal, at 5 times the cost. I was able to do the CF laminates on the roundels, the license plate frame and the grills all for under $100 total. Getting all new roundels, grills and a frame in real CF would run me about 4 times that.

Looks good, I like the tight 1x1 weave. That vinyl will actually last a while. We carry a few of Bimmian's vinyl products including the roundel overlays and they are rated to 8 years UV protection.

maybe on UV protection, but not adhesion. The corners are starting to peel up on the hood and trunk roundels, and I have only had them for about a month. Also, my wheel cleaner has made the CF look on the wheel laminates look distorted. It's odd. I can't complain, given the low cost, but I was surprised that I will need to replace them so quickly.
