Ive been having this problem with my 20s off and on, was not like this before but everytime I hit 40 mph or more car starts to woble and I can feel it mainly in the front, what can the problem be from, should I take to dealer and have them fix it?

if you dont or had it maybe you need to replace them....

it will help to reduce vibration on aftermarket rims.

 

so hubcentric rings on the front and back would stop the vibrations?

 

Member poleposition had something similar happen on his old 530. When he took of his old, rear spacers and put his stock wheels back on, the rear wheels could literally be shaken back and forth, with the lug nuts tight and snug. It was the most bizarre thing. Did you have spacers on before you parted out your car?

 

A lot of aftermarket wheel places make the bore of a rim 74.1 when our cars are 72.6 the rims should have come with hub rings to fill that gap. Dont rule out a bent rim or a unbalanced tire/rim check for these also !

 

You clearly have a hubcentric problem (in my opinion) unless you have a bad wheel problem (defective).

Your wheels are probably larger than your hub bar (as stated immediately above), and something may have happened with the rings that fill the gaps. Maybe one got lost or you never had them.

In addition, many recommend that you rotate the wheel as you tighten the lugs. Otherwise, if the rings are off just a little, gravity may cause an imperfect fit.

The rings only center the wheel, and you technically do not need rings if you could center the wheel yourself before tightening the bolts. Gravity does not let this happen.

 

are all hubcrntric rings same size for bmw?
