Not true. The headlights I have, the Euro D1S has the label inside the headlight stating D2S.

So wierd, but in my case that wasn't true. I bet for most headlights they would be right in the labeling.

nigxdoof is correct, even if the marking says D2S, you may have D1S. I think the determining factor is whether or not it was pre Sep '05 or post. I ran into the same issue he did when I bought my first set from Germany a while back. They were D1S and wouldn't fit in my 2004 545 so I sold them to a person with later model 2005 545. I then bought another set with D2S bulbs/ballasts. Then I got my 2006 M5 and they wouldn't fit so I sold them to member delje08.

I'm now ordering another set for the M5. :thumbsup:
