I am considering on purchasing a Euro headlight on ebay, but the seller doesn't know whether it is post model or pre model. Can anyone verify for me? Thanks.

Seller provided me with a partial number: 6 910 788

As long as it has the functions you want ( Adaptive Bi Xenon ) Headlights from 2003 to 2006 ( European model years ) will fit your car. The 2007 European model year should be the New LCI headlights which will not fit your car.

Please make sure that you are buying from a reliable seller that will pack the lights safely. It's a long trip from Germany to the US and if they are not safely packed they can get damaged beyond repair.

A couple of questions.. What kind of light bulb does the Euro spec version run on? D2S D1S? are they the same as USA versions? and If i currently have ignitors, ballast, controller on the USA Bi-Xenon Adaptive version will they work on the Euro spec version?

I had the same dilemma when I got euro headlights.

I have a 2004 with D2S bulbs.

When I got the headlights, to my surprise, they were D1S bulbs.

I had to buy new ballast and bulbs and one minor part (found all on ebay).

I believe the year of the headlight depends on the set. Have the person take a picture of the headlight portion, you can see the difference between D1S part and D2S part. I deleted the pictures of comparison, but if you go 2 realoem.com, you can see the difference in bulbs.

I still have my old set, which i'm trying to sell right now.

If he looks directly in the lens, he will see the bulb labeling D1S or D2S.
