no offence but since your car is 520i I would say the Eisenmann dual pipe would do the magic.... It is a very good one.
The quad would is mostly a fake one.... only 2 pipes are actually exhausting the others are only dead end cosmetics one....... therefore no effect on sound at all.....
and if any case you find a proper 4pipe exhaust with all pipes working than your engine might be a little small to give it the proper sound.... it fact it may do the opposite from what you want....
So Eisenmann dual is the best IMHO

quads are more for look, I only go for the look, but when you buy a good stuff full of certificates cannot go wrong, normally the Supersprint-HM, Eisenm gives you 3,5-4,5 bhp more but that is not the purpose of adding a muffler, it is to look different, NICEEE

My Ride: 545i Black, 19" AC Type IV, P-Dragon F235/35 R265/30, M5 Front/Rear bumper, M5 side skirt,M5 front side fender, Eisenmann Muffler 4*76mm Racing mode, AC foot paddle
Quad is better looking but you need to do something on your rear bumper. I have a quad Eisenmann (racing mode) on my 545i. It is the best sound....and the most important part is--> It does help accelation!!

Ain't no such thing as quad muffler for 530 and below since it's a V6, i think only the V8 has the option to install the "REAL Quad Mufflers"! <_<
anyways, recently i still installed the quad tips on my 530i just for the "look", and there's no significant increase in either sound or hp, maybe it's because i didn't buy a name brand but a custom made muffler, however, it looks awesome and i love it, just keep in mind that don't let anyone look from underneath because that's when they found out that it's FAKE!!
