I'd stay away from anything that you don't see pics of before you commit to buy...

like you said, if its a good deal(probably have to be less than $1000), then do it.

well i have won those rims and they have costed me half of what i was willing to pay, even with one cracked rim which i havent seen personally (i have seen the pictures just not the damage) . so what i ll do i ll take that cracked rim to a local dealership and ask what they say as they do wheel repair and refurbishment. so the search for the rims is over but i need tyres as well and after just having a domestic with wife over those ??? which for her was like down the drain i dont wanna be spending too much. so please advise me for good cheap tyres, i know good and cheap can not be used in the same sentence but again i know you guys are out there with your vast knowledge. your help is much appreciated.

Hi- cracked wheels aparently are quite common on BMWs, or so I was told when I cracked mine. I had the rim welded and then turned back to true- if welded properly it should be ok. (the welding on mine was done in Hounslow, Middx as an emergancy and not cleaned up due to time restraints. Later finishing and painting was done in Lincs.) I have done over 40K miles since original weld with no problems.
