i was looking at an auction site for wheels and have come across a set. everything seems alright apart from the face that one of the rear wheel has a small crack on the inside, i havent seen the crack as there is no picture. so is it possible that this can be repaired or not, if they can be repaired how much it normally cost for a 100% fix. please let me know asap please as the auction gonna end very soon. thanks in advance

it depends of what kind of material they are made of. And if they have a crack there has been an accident made with and it can be that they arent straight anymore, and sometimes when they straighten them they can crack entirely. Sorry for my english but im from belgium :-)

Too many variables here, and it's never a good idea to buy something sight-unseen, especially if problems are mentioned. I'd bail and wait for something more solid.

+1. Also the fact that you say "crack" and "rim" in the same sentance kind of scary

Refurbishing a scuffed alloy is common and saves you the cost of a new one,but a CRACKED wheel has suffered serious damage.Even if someone could "weld"over the crack, how would you get any documentation which could certify that the repaired wheel was 100%?My advice is do NOT compromise safety!

If its an amazing deal, get it. As long as its not cracked like crazy, its fine. Just bring it to a good wheel shop. But also most importantly, what is the wheel made of?

Too many undamaged rim alternative out there ... I'd pass on a cracked wheel.
