Just wondering has anyone retrofitted voice NAV.

My car doesnt have the mic in the overhead so i will need to purchase this part and also i believe I need an activation code of the voice but what can i get of a scrap 5 series E60 that may have it enabled

And any instructions or guies to isntall it

 

What exactly do you mean when you say "voice NAV"?

 

Voice navaigation

Press the Voice button (not telephone) on the steering wheel and you can control most of your idrive funtctions thru voice
i.e NAV will naviagte ur idrive to navigation - btw it isnt Bluetooth related

I've done NAV retrofit - (minus) voice function.

I have voice+mic pre-installed, but I decided to skip the voice function part.
(Mo' money mo' trouble)

or are you planning to retrofit NAV + voice function (mic+voice button)?

Voice Navigation (Voice Command) yes I have Sat Pro Nav - but no bluetooth or Voice Command, just think its cool to be able to say cd or nav or radi and your idrive moves to that option

 

you can buy voice retrofit kit part # 84640396162 and then enabling code #65836976392 which will require some coding. be advised, it's not quite as cool as you think it is for the money. I got it to restore voice dialing which I originally lost when I retrofitted the nav.

 

It has been a long time. I wonder if Felix can provide more info about how to have it fitted to the car if I buy the kit. What kind of programming tools needed?
