Can I install M5 Seats in MY '06 530I?
#1
I test drove an M5 and liked the seats (& more). I want to put the M5 seats with ventilation and active seatbacks in my 530I. I?ll have them professionally installed by a BMW mechanic and leave it to them to recode everything. My question is, can they activate the ventilation and active seatbacks once installed in my car? TIA

Confort seats are better than the M5 ones . And they could be heated, ventilated and with the massage .
Why would you like to get M5 seats ?
Anyway, yes, it is doable (my dealer made it for a customer) .
And someone on the board made it too .

Here in the US I can't get the active seatback on the comfort seats. Otherwise I would.
I tried it on a Mercedes CLS and I didn't like it : I felt something so unnatural

Would they be able to get an exact colour match with the rest of the car interior aswell...? This is the kind of mod that if I wanted it that much, I would buy a new car. Think about how many monthly payments on a new car you could make with the cost of a mod this big.

Hi
You can swap your seats, but the installation wont be easy.
Have a look at this website : www.akto.nl and contact Andy for any further info.
I bought my M5 seats from him...

Thanks for all the imput. I do like these forums. If I can't find the seats for a good price I won't do the mod. I have a BMW machanic that works on the side and will do the install for me. I have a feeling finding the seats for a reasonable price will be an effort.
