I must admit I have only driven my new 2006 550i three times since purchasing it late Dec. So many things I like about it over my 330cic, but the one thing I miss is the responsive steering. The 550i feels softer, and slower to respond to steering wheel turns. I do not have the Active Steering option. Is there any mod I can add to improve the responsiveness?

I have h&r sway bars set on the stiffest setting, my car handles like a dream almost as good as my porsche 997 C2S. The steering feedback is improved, and body roll is greatly reduced. I also have an Racing dynamics engine strut bar, which helps steering and stiffens the chassis up front. These mods greatly changed the handling and steering sensitivity in the corners. Best of luck.

Thanks, that is exactly the info I was looking for. Any suggestion on a good place to look for these items?

Just to be sure, as I read on another post, that sways bars won't upgrade a car that already has Sport Pkg. Will the h&r's be an improvement over my Sport Pkg suspension?

springs will lower the vehicle and slightly improve thhee handling. In addition, some wider wheels would help greatly.
For the best overall performance, KW coilovers are the way to go.

QUESTION !!!!!!!!!!!

I have H&R springs and Koni Sport shocks/struts. I have NO sway bars.

Where can I get these H&R sway bars and can I install one just in the front over the engine or do I have to do the undercarriage in the rear as well? What is the benefit? I mean, if I just do front will it be a big improvement?

Cost, installation, etc? Nerweezy, where are you man? =p

I noticed with the sway bars my car became more stiff, I don't have sport package but I noticed with the sway bars the difference was days apart. I am extremely happy with this mod, only problem is that over speed bumps and rough roads, I can feel more vibrations in the cabin, but that could also be contributed to the h&r sport springs and the racing dynamics engine strut-bar.

h&r sway bars go underneath the car, engine strut bars go above the engine. I have both and they greatly reduce body roll and stiffen the chassis giving it an improved response in the corners.
