Is it necessary to install a caber kit if your car is lowered to avoid exceeding tire wear?
Also, there are different types of camber kits, such as upper strut mounts and the other which is a bearing mounted behind the hub on the lower control arm, correct?

Phi, to answer your questions: No you don;t always have to install a camber kit, although you are more likely to need it when you install lowering springs only instead of coilovers. Yes, there are 2 different types of kits, but as far as I know they only make the camber kits of the type I linked for our cars. Some coilovers come with camber kits on the upper mounts, but not for our cars (KSPort for example). That leaves us with one choice, lower camber kits.
Probably before deciding to get a camber kit you are better off getting an alignment done and seeing how much negative rear camber they can dial out of your car (BMW spec is 1.5-2.0 deg neg rear camber as I recall). If you have just lowering springs you will notice much more negative camber than with coilovers, I know I did when I went from H&R springs to full KSport coilovers - even without an alignment the negative camber was greatly reduced.

I have the H&R sports which are about the same drop as eibach prokit and when the dealer did the alignment they said it fell well within factory specs so you shouldn't need a camber kit
