I think you paid a little bit too much lol. Im also in the south seattle area and I paid $200 cash for the install. by the way, I set mine at 15 clicks front and 12 click rear. I think it minimize the stiffness 20% comparing to my old set up (9 clicks front and 7 clicks rear).

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
I have my fronts 4 clicks stiffer than mid setting, rears are 6 clicks stiffer, the idea was to negate the slight understeer that BMW designs into the cars. By making the rear stiffer it creates more oversteer, giving me a more balanced feeling

so I'm assuming 15 and 12 clicks from stiffest...right?

yup...that is how I did mine. I'm still letting it settle and should bring it back to the shop next week for the final adjustments.
