Cabin filters
I need to replace the cabin filters on my 04 545i.
I'm looking on ebay and finding I can spend from $12 to $90.
Is there really any difference?
Any suggestions on what kind to get and where to buy them?
Thanks

Check rockauto.com. MANN or MAHLE charcoal cabin filters are about $18 each. My BMW Center uses MANN filters (oil and air) when the BMW filters are back-ordered.

I would use charcoal filters too for odors etc. oem are actually better but one has to figure out if they really need these or will a non oem work for them. I guess it comes down to personal preference. Mann Hummel Mahle make a lot of our filters but even in those there different when it comes to oem and getting it at autozone. They make replacement filters for the customer at a less quality for a better price, is it worth using? Well, that depends on how picky you are with these small details. Sure they will allow more particles through, but will it cause your car to explode. Doubt it... My guess is that they will work just fine.

I paid the equivalent of $30 for a pair of Fram charcoal filters. The quality doesn't look as good as OEM, but at a third of the price I can change them 3 times as often.
A new lower quality filter has to be better than a partially blocked OEM one. As mentioned, the car isn't going to come to any harm if it doesn't filter as well.
